Plot summary : In this book Tyler, Hine and Mandy travel to the South Island to stay for a while, because they won a nature competition in different catagories. Where they are staying is a beach where Tyler goes exploring and finds a cave with a penguin in it. There is also a dead body in the cave which Tyler names Ata. Ata has a pendant that Tyler keeps for good luck. While they are there they start a daring game which makes them all hate each other, but then Mandy dares Tyler and Hine to sleep in the cave overnight and everything goes wrong. They get introuble with dolphin smugglers, they get trapped in the cave and find some rare moa bones. In the end they find a way out of the cave and the smugglers get caught.
Response : I gave this book four stars because you didnt know what was going to happen and the story line was good. I found some parts of the book quite boring and there wasnt much mystery or action. I think it isnt one of Des Hunts bst books.
